I’m a Grant Writer and Facilitator who is interested in community health.
My path into community wellness began with a passion for understanding the connections between health, social equity, and the environment. After studying holistic nutrition at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and earning a Geography degree from McGill University, I focused my work on addressing systemic barriers to health and well-being through nonprofit initiatives.
For over a decade, I’ve worked at the intersection of food systems, cultural revitalization, and community health, supporting projects that empower communities and foster resilience. These experiences have deepened my commitment to creating equitable and sustainable health systems—ones that honor cultural knowledge, prioritize prevention, and integrate complementary care into dominant healthcare frameworks.
Building on this foundation, I am expanding my work to bridge complementary care with conventional health systems. I am particularly interested in collaborating with healthcare and nonprofit organizations to create inclusive, prevention-focused models of care that integrate traditional wisdom and modern practices. My vision is to support individuals and communities through approaches that honour diverse traditions and ensure access to comprehensive, culturally respectful care.
I am a settler of French/Irish ancestry and I gratefully work, study, and heal within the unceded, ancestral and traditional territories of the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples. I am of the second generation in my family to grow up on the west coast of this continent. I feel deeply connected to this place and hold respect for the Indigenous peoples that have stewarded the lands and waters since time immemorial. In all I do, I am a lifelong learner.
