  • Prospect Research.

    Understanding the landscape of possibilities.

Curious about what funding opportunities are available for your organization? I will compile a customized grant calendar that matches your project needs with aligned funding opportunities. Grant calendars include an at-a-glance overview of key funding details that will support the development of your annual fundraising strategy.

Grant calendars will include prospective funding from local and national government agencies, foundations, and corporate sponsorships.

  • Project/Program Development.

Designing your project or program for success.

You have a great idea for a new project/program or you're seeking to improve or expand an existing initiative - now what? Before a project can be funded, it must be further developed into an enticing and actionable plan that is rooted in an identified need. We can develop your project/program plan for an upcoming grant opportunity or create a comprehensive proposal that can be adapted to any future application. Together, we will create a theory of change or logic model, develop a realistic timeline and budget and design an evaluative framework. When possible, successful proposals (and projects!) also benefit from pre-work of community engagement and partnership development.

Deliverables may include: Logic Model, Budget, Timeline, Evaluation Strategy, Support/Partnership Letter Templates.

  • Grant Writing.

Submitting a proposal that stands out.

I was drawn to grant writing as it is a craft that beautifully balances the creativity of our right brain with the logical inclination of our left brain. I use a three step process to help your organization reach their goal for grant funding.

ONE) First, I ensure the grant readiness and eligibility of your organization for the funding opportunity that you are interested in.

TWO) Next, I determine whether more work may need to be done in the development of your project/program (see Project/Program Development) to ensure a competitive application.

THREE) A successful application involves creating a compelling narrative, emphasizing the alignment of your proposal with the funder’s priorities and assessment criteria, and gathering support materials to paint a picture of your vision.

  • Evaluation Planning.

Integrating iterative evaluation from the start.

Determining whether your program is having the intended impact is necessary as a measure of organizational success, transparency, and accountability. Creating an evaluation plan that is integrated throughout the implementation process invites an adaptable approach that can respond to emerging needs. I take a community-centred approach to evaluation planning, meaning all stakeholders are included in the process, and emphasis is given to the voices of the communities being served. Effective evaluation is simple to implement and empowers communities to be involved in co-creating meaningful and sustained change.
